Privacy Policy

Your family's privacy, in plain language

Last updated: 5 July 2026  ·  TaskKidz, operated by Biddio Pty Ltd (Perth, Australia)

TaskKidz is a family chore-and-rewards app. We built it to collect as little information as possible, especially about children. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have — written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version: We collect a parent's email and each child's first name — nothing more about your kids. We never collect location. Chore photos are deleted automatically every day. And a parent can permanently delete their entire family, including all of their children's data, at any time from inside the app.

1 Who we are

TaskKidz is operated by Biddio Pty Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Biddio Pty Ltd. If you have any questions, you can reach us at support@taskkidz.com.

2 What we collect

We deliberately keep this list short. Here is everything TaskKidz collects, split by who it relates to.

About a parentWhy
Email addressTo create the account, sign in, send password resets and a welcome email.
PasswordStored securely (hashed) by our authentication provider — we never see it in plain text.
Family & chore dataThe tasks you create, rewards you set, and approvals you make.
About a childWhy
First nameSo a parent can tell which chores belong to which child. This is the only personal detail we hold about a child.
A PINChosen by the child when joining the family, so they can sign in without needing an email address. A parent can reset a child's PIN at any time.
Chore photosOptional "proof" photos a child takes of a completed chore. See section 5 — these are deleted daily.

We do not collect:

No location No child email or contact details No date of birth or age No advertising identifiers No device tracking

Children do not provide an email address or any contact information to use TaskKidz. A child signs in with a first name and a PIN set up by their parent.

3 How we use information

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build advertising profiles of you or your children.

4 Children's privacy (COPPA & family policies)

TaskKidz is designed for families. A child can only join a family with a parent's approval, and their account is managed by the parent from then on. We take the following approach to protect children:

If you believe we have collected information from a child in a way that concerns you, please contact us at support@taskkidz.com and we will address it promptly.

5 Chore photos are deleted daily

When a child completes a chore, they can optionally take a photo as proof for their parent to review. We treat these photos as temporary:

6 Who we share information with

We don't sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the app, and share only what each one needs to do its job:

ProviderWhat it handles
SupabaseOur secure database, sign-in, and file storage (backend infrastructure).
ExpoDelivers push notifications to devices.
ResendSends account emails (to parents only — never to children).
SentryMonitors for technical errors so we can fix them.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

7 Deleting your data

You are in control. A parent can permanently delete their entire family — their own account, every child's account, all tasks, all reward history, and all messages — at any time, directly from the app's Settings screen. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

You can also remove an individual child, which permanently deletes that child's account and all of their associated data.

When you delete data, we remove it from our active systems. Chore photos, as noted above, are already deleted automatically each day. If you'd prefer, you can also email support@taskkidz.com to request deletion, and we will action it.

8 How we keep data secure

Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and never stored or visible in plain text. Data is protected by access rules so that families can only ever see their own information. Chore photos are held in private storage accessible only within the child's family.

9 Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continued use of TaskKidz after an update means you accept the revised policy.
